If you didn’t catch the Moncler Gamme Rouge SS18 show you will find it over on our instagram page. In addition to the catwalk element, this show stood out from the crowd for it’s entertainment factor- we’re talking disco balls and hip-hop ballet dancers. I absolutely loved watching it. In addition to the mesmerising performance, Giambattista Valli successfully encapsulated the iconic history of the brand. When I hear ‘Moncler’ I think of goose down padded jackets, sportswear, ski boots, trainers with red, white and blue stripes and knitted hats with oversized fur Pom Poms. So how do you glamorise sporty streetwear? With tulle, taffeta and ballerinas of course!
The collection showcased grey logo tshirts layered under a lace body or a organza dress and a feather skirt casually thrown under a bomber jacket. This is clever marketing at its best; selling you the dream of a glamorous catwalk whilst fulfilling the reality of a wearable wardrobe. It has solidified my love for grey tshirts, lace dresses and sweatshirts, and has definitely made me lust over the Moncler collection to come.
